Does your neighbor have enough to eat? Chances are a family you know is able to put food on the table only thanks to the help of the Sephardic Food Fund. But the brilliance of this community organization is that it provides food assistance in a dignified manner so that you would never know if your next door neighbor was receiving the fund’s assistance. The Sephardic Food Fund gives the family a pre-paid credit card with which to purchase food items. This method of dignified support fulfills an especially high standard of charity according to the Torah.
